This session is intended to show the main advances and methodologies on data on the perception and experiences of bribery experienced by the general population, people deprived of their liberty, and companies. This is important to highlight the use and value of statistics on the internal control and anti-corruption mechanisms that public administrations from a global, regional, and local perspective, maximizing the use and value of data on corruption for better decision making. This session, will also contribute to explore the experiences with countries applying the framework on measuring corruption  the Item on “Data and indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, particularly the Sustainable Development Goal 16.5: Substantially reduce corruption and bribery in all their forms, and the indicators:16.5.1 “Proportion of persons who had at least one contact with a public official and who paid a bribe to a public official, or were asked for a bribe by those public officials, during the previous 12 months”, as well as the 16.5.2 “Proportion of businesses that had at least one  contact with a public official and that paid a bribe to a  public official, or were asked for a bribe by those public  officials during the previous 12 months”.
