    Proposal Description

The motivation for this session is to provide insights into the novel state-of-art multivariate statistical methodologies being proposed, the trends and issues in the field, as well as to raise awareness on the role multivariate statistics plays in the development of data analysis, models of statistical learning and AI. It is believed that the session will act as an impetus for further development of multivariate analysis and for the debate on future prospects and directions the field will take.

It is hoped that the IPS will attract a wide audience. On the previous 62nd and 63rd World Statistics Congress, the session chair organized an IPS on the topics of composite indicator creation and evaluation using multivariate analysis which was attended and attracted audience. Therefore, the proposed session will be a continuation of good practice from the previous congress which will add to the growing amount of knowledge on the topic.
