Abstract
As social media takes a pivotal role in how users consume information, information is easily re-generated and misinterpreted in the modern society. Without proper statistical literacy, official data is prone to misinterpretation. Although statistics is all around us, it is only useful when utilised or conveyed properly. Misinterpretation of statistics could cause alarm, given the strong influence social media has. Communication and partnerships with our stakeholders are essential to labour market statistical literacy and proper interpretation, especially in the age of social media.
