Abstract

Increasing agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability is necessary to provide sufficient affordable and nutritious food for a growing global population, while supporting livelihoods and improving environmental outcomes. It is feasible to measure sustainable agricultural productivity growth using existing methodologies and databases. This presentation will analyze the main challenges for building an index of sustainable agricultural productivity that are agreeable for policy makers from different countries and backgrounds.
