Abstract

This presentation explores the application of spatio-temporal survival analysis to environmental data, focusing on wildfire occurrences. Using data from the INPE’s fire monitoring system, which tracks active fires and wildfire risk across Brazil, we analyze patterns in vegetation fire occurrence over time and space. The study highlights the potential of survival models to improve fire risk assessment and environmental management.
