Abstract
In this presentation, we will discuss efficient and effective statistical inference methodologies for the shape parameter of an inverse generalized Weibull distribution. This includes a bounded-risk point estimation and a fixed accuracy confidence interval estimation for the shape parameter. We adopt suitable sequential sampling procedures to work with an optimum number of observations, which proves to be less time-consuming and cost-effective. Our proposed estimation procedures also follow appealing efficiency properties. We further include extensive simulation analysis and a practical application related to bladder cancer data, to support the applicability of our proposed procedures.
