A Test Of Exponentiality Against Dmttf Alternatives Via U-Statistics
Abstract
A new non-parametric test is proposed to test exponentiality against decreasing mean time to failure class alternatives. Both the exact null distribution and asymptotic distribution of the test statistic have been determined. Additionally, we explore how the proposed method accounts for censoring information. To evaluate the test's performance, a simulation study is conducted, and the test procedure is demonstrated using real data.
