Abstract
Applied statistics and data science are playing key roles in the emerging area of climate risk analytics which focuses on quantifying the impact of a changing climate on perils such as flood, heat, and fire. In this talk, I will present an overview of climate risk analytics, focusing on research areas such as downscaling and extremes. I will also provide some examples of how companies and other organizations are using climate risk analytics to help assess and manage climate change-related risk.
