Abstract

The statistics and data science collaboration laboratories of the LISA 2020 Network transform evidence into action for the benefit of society. We will discuss the model that allows the LISA 2020 Network to be successful in this endeavor, by building the capacity of individual statisticians and data scientists in developing countries. This model allows developing countries to engage in data-driven development specific to their own needs by working at the intersection of data producers, data analyzers, and data decision makers. We will share the accomplishments of member stat labs so far, and end by sharing some of the lessons that we have already learned in the LISA 2020 journey.
