Abstract

The AbC study is a longitudinal serosurvey with 10,000 participants in Canada testing blood samples for previous infection of COVID-19, with the first samples taken in June 2020. Working out who has and has not been infected is not straightforward, as the measurements are noisy. We present a mixture model for values of the N protein in dried blood spots and derive prevalence and infection fatality ratios for various COVID waves in Canada.
