Abstract
The Chilean National Statistical Office has recently devoted itself to the building of a precise and accurate inferential system, which can provide information on the disaggregations of interest through the link between surveys and external information (censuses, surveys and/or RR.AA.). Disaggregations of interest have typically not been planned in the survey design and therefore do not support a statistical inference process. This talk reviews how Chile has tried to reduce the gap between official statistics and local or more disaggregated data requests by using SAE methods.
